In Memory of The Fruitcake Lady

I enjoy watching Jay Leno and was always so tickled when they had the Fruitcake Lady on. She always cracked me up. So much so, I would record it to show to my husband.

We were very sad the other day when they informed the audience that she had passed away at the age of 95 on November 3rd. Her real name was Marie Rudisill.

They then did a tribute to her.

I learned some things about her I didn't know. She was the aunt of Truman Capote and helped raise him. She started off on The Tonight Show in 1989 doing a cooking segment and was so entertaining they came up with the "Ask the Fruitcake Lady" segment.
