My Crazy...er...Dysfunctional Life

I'm 34 yrs old and have been married to a pretty great guy named Kenny since Sept. 11, 1999. We have been inseparable since July of 1994. I can't chase him away! LOL Lucky for me! I am the stressed out mom of four crazy kids who I love with all my heart. We have a lot of ups and downs (mostly downs) and a lot of bad luck, but we have each other.

Happy Thanksgiving (not for me this year)

How come I'm never invited to make decisions about our holidays around here?

Bubba has decided we are going to his aunts. That's the one place I didn't want to go.

I love his aunt, don't get me wrong. But when the families are all together, she is in a bad, grouchy, plain old bitchy mood. She makes comments and ruins it for everyone.

Of course we will all be there. Which means my mother-in-law is going to be pissy cause of the way her sister is behaving to everyone.

Not only will we have some sort of Thanksgiving dinner, we will have to be there until well after dark.

The dumb-asses have decided to have a 'war' once the sun goes down.

All the boys, adult men and some of the women will be running around with air-soft rifles and pistols shooting each other trying to get the other teams flag.

Now the younger kids would be in the way, so we have to keep them in the house. In the Summer time we got to run around and catch them and keep them in the screened in gazebo.

I do not find this fun or entertaining.

Someone always gets pissed. Someone is always accused of cheating. We always leave mad and usually are not the only ones.

Now to mention someone around here has been sick for 2 or 3 weeks now. Hell, I've lost track. The boys are still coughing badly. Princess had another fever tonight and is not active at all.

I would choose to have my Thanksgiving meal at McDonald's before going over there and participating in any of this.

In fact, a nice bowl of applejacks while snuggled up under a blanket would work just fine.
