My Crazy...er...Dysfunctional Life

I'm 34 yrs old and have been married to a pretty great guy named Kenny since Sept. 11, 1999. We have been inseparable since July of 1994. I can't chase him away! LOL Lucky for me! I am the stressed out mom of four crazy kids who I love with all my heart. We have a lot of ups and downs (mostly downs) and a lot of bad luck, but we have each other.

7 Year Itch

Bubba and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary on September 11th.

We had a great day, but I felt uncomfortable celebrating on such a tragic day. That is why I waited to post about it.

7 whole years married. I still can not believe we made it. I always expect something to go wrong. This was the 2nd marriage for both of us. He asked me to marry him the first week we were dating, over 12 years ago. I would set dates and cancel them. I was waiting for something to happen. For him to leave me. They always do leave me.

I finally took the plunge and went for it. He never believed I would go through with it. He said he still did not believe it, even as he stood in the gazebo with the Justice of the Peace. Until he saw me come around the corner. He was crying. I will never forget it. One of my favorite pictures of him is the picture of him crying at our wedding. I could see the love on his face.

So here we are 7 years later and still together. We have had some really rough times and have made it through.

He can piss me off like no one else can. We have had some hellacious fights. Still we are together. I do not know what I would ever do without him.

My mom treated us out to dinner at Red Lobster and it was a great meal. We had a good time.

He treated me out to a pedicure and getting my nails done. I LOVED the pedicure. Massage chair and the foot spa. Oh... Heavenly ....

(My nails have dolphins jumping out of the waves during a sunset. Bubba in the background. lol)

He told me that we passed a milestone. I asked which one and he said the 7 year itch. I told him we passed that one 5 yrs ago and he said it didn't count. It has to be married 7 years. I thought and it and told him I was kinda itchy, could he scratch my back?

Not A One

Now what's left?

None.

Zip.

Zilch.

Nada.

Not A One.

All the babies are gone. Teen boy was so sad and upset.

I feel horrible. I was excited as well about the babies. I thought a couple may make it, but none did.

We only found 2 of them and he buried them next to his turtle.

Little Bear freaked us out the other night. We were not messing with her. Just watching. She had something in her pouch. She pulled it out and there was one of the babies and then she shoved it in the other side. I can not seem to get this vision out of me head, it was just... Weird I guess.

Then there were...

Oldest son came in upset tonight.

He saw one of the little hamster babies had died. He was really upset and crying.

When I was counting them, I knew there were at least 8. I was thinking 11, but was not sure.

Now there are..... 4.

He was so upset and crying. Poor tender hearted baby of mine.

Pinkies

Ever since both boys got their hamsters, the oldest keeps bringing Little Bear to me asking if she's pregnant.

When we bought them they were both suppose to be boys.

They were wrong and I could tell that myself.

This is what Little Bear looked like this weekend:

This was her belly:

This is the male hamster, Chip:

They both move way too much and fast for me to have gotten a good picture.

I did some research and realized that yes, she was indeed pregnant and that her time was very close.

I asked him to separate the two hamsters. To clean the other cage and remove the wheel and other attachments. To make sure she had fresh water and food. To make sure it was fresh bedding and to give her some un-scented toilet paper. She would use that to help make her nest.

I went in there today while he was in school. She was burrowed down in the bedding, so I poked around looking for her. I noticed the toilet paper was bloody.

Not a very good picture.

I'm sorry the pictures were not that good. These were the best shots I got.

I was able to count 8. I am not sure how many there are.

Both boys were excited, but oldest was thrilled. He told her "Congratulations Little bear! You're a mommy!"

Teenage Driver on the Road!!

My 16 yr old got her learners permit about a month ago.

Ever since then she always wants to drive.

I let her drive one evening with her step-dad in the van, and his nerves could not handle it. He has a hard time riding with anyone driving.

Since then I let her drive from the store or to the store on weekends while he works.

She over-corrects herself and drives too close to the edge of the road. When turning she waits too long to turn and also does it sharp.

She scared me to death Friday night. She needed to get into the other lane and was looking the way but driving off the road. I yelled. Scared her. I guess that didn't help her at all.

Today while going to her grandmothers house I let her drive around the mountain.

Shew.....

I need a drink.

She does not do bad. She is learning and does pretty well for a new driver. She does not take constructive criticism too well, so its hard to tell her what she needs help on. Today she did listen and ask how she could stop doing something. Big step for her.

She did not appreciate it too much when I told her I wanted to get those window clings and spell out on the back window of the mini-van:

"Teen learning to Drive!!"

Say what??

I have a birthday coming up next month. I was wondering if maybe one or all four or five of you that actually read my blog could get together and purchase me a hearing aid? Maybe one of those big cones to stick in my ear? Sure would save me from any cardiac infarctions.

The Teen Queen called me late this evening. I was in the middle of working. Actually my cell phone rang at the same time as my work phone. So I answered both and she could hear that I was working. As soon as the call ended I took break so I could talk to her. I was still working one of my jobs, one that is not on the phone. So I was a little distracted.

This is some-what how the call went:

Me: Hey Hun, i'm working.

her:
I know

( am answering a message at work at the same time.)

her: did I tell you I was pregnant?

me (freaking): WHAT???

me thinking: what the fuuuuuuuck?!?!?!?!?!

(no longer answering ANYTHING at work)

her: what did you hear me say?

me (heart galloping away): did I tell you I was pregnant?

me thinking
: WHATTHEFUCK!?!?!

her: (disgusted): ugh.

me:
what did you say?

her: i'm pregnant

me: WHAT?!?!?!?!

me thinking
: oh shit oh shit oh shit

her: I'm PRESIDENT!!!

me: OHHHHHH........ you're president!! uh... congratulations.

Audible sigh of relief.

Shew... that was a close one ladies.
