My Crazy...er...Dysfunctional Life

I'm 34 yrs old and have been married to a pretty great guy named Kenny since Sept. 11, 1999. We have been inseparable since July of 1994. I can't chase him away! LOL Lucky for me! I am the stressed out mom of four crazy kids who I love with all my heart. We have a lot of ups and downs (mostly downs) and a lot of bad luck, but we have each other.

TO THE GHETTO

Well, it looks like that's where we will be moving to. sigh....

I was hoping somewhere else would work out.

Nothing did, though.

If only we had of had one more month to look.

Bubba talked to the people who own our house. They are definitely selling it. He told Bubba that they are behind on THEIR house payments and this is the only way he can get the money.

Damn it all to hell.

Damn

Well, shit... We didn't get the nice house.

The one in the great, SAFE neighborhood.

I am so upset.

So, now that leaves us with the one in the bad neighborhood.

The one I have sarcastically affectionately been calling the "Ghetto".

But, the way things are going, we probably won't ever get that one.

We still don't have all of the deposit.

I am scared as hell about whats going to become of my family.

House Hunting

I hate moving? Absolutely despise it!

I have checked everywhere in about an hour radius from us. To find something that is within our budget that has at least 3 bedrooms has been a real pain in the ass.

I found a nice house. It was older and had small bedrooms. Was painted a variety of colors. Had a big back yard, 3 bedrooms, 1 1/2 bath and a full basement. Plus I could have pets. It was $850 a month. They decided on another family. Big disappointment.

I found a really cool apartment. It had a living room and dining room. The kitchen was tiny, but it had a dishwasher and a garbage disposal. There was a half-bath in the living room. Upstairs was 3 bedrooms and A full bath. In the master bedroom there was another half-bath. There was no yard for the kids to play in, no play area like some apartments have. It was $695 a month, unless we signed a 2 year lease, then it would be $665 a month. I could have kept my pets for a $200 deposit and an extra $25 a month. I liked it. Bubba didn't.

I called everywhere. Checked in the papers, online, rode around and called every place that had a for rent sign.

Our credit is shot and we wont pass the credit checks. That's been a major problem.

I found another house. It has 3 bedrooms and an open loft type room. It has 1 bath. The house is small. Has a big backyard and is $800 a month. I can keep my doggie but not my kitty. I cried after I got the message that she wanted to offer us the house.

But, I found somewhere. we have to get rid of half our stuff to fit in there. But, it's a place to live.

The neighborhood sucks.

My sister-in-law (and her family) and mother-in-law went to check the place out. I asked my sister-in-law would she come visit me and she said in the day time.

she also told me that if I get out there fighting with like 20 people, not to call her. If it were 2 or 3, she's come help whoop their asses. But at 20, I would be on my own.

The 3 places before that one is burned out and condemned. there is a house on the street that has weeds growing from the second floor window.

We are suppose to meet and sign the lease on Monday.

In the meantime, the house next to said sister-in-law went up for rent today. With a fancy realty company. Shit.

It's a pretty brick house with 3 bedrooms and a full un-finished basement. The huge backyard is fenced in. The rent is $725 a month and it's in a great neighborhood. oh... AND I could keep my pets!

My mother-in-law co-signed for us. But, out credit is really crappy. I bet her co-signing wont even help us.

It would be perfect, though.

I don't have my hopes up.

That would be too easy. Cheaper rent, very nice neighborhood and my heart wont be broken over getting rid of my cat.

Yeah, my life is never easy, so I know that's not gonna happen.

Did I mention I hate fucking moving?

Bullets from Hell

I thought my life was crazy and dysfunctional before. I never thought it could get any worse.

HA! Jokes on me.

Lets see whats happened:

  • Bubba decided to buy a restaurant back in the winter time. While we have no savings. Said restaurant closed it's doors for good last month.

  • Bubba needed a job and went for one at a restaurant serving. He was told the tips rock. Well, they don't. They lied. They suck. Hubby needs a new job to replace his new job.

  • We are beyond broke. Broker than broke. What would that be called?

  • Our home phone was disconnected months ago.

  • Our cell phones were disconnected the beginning of this month.

  • Our lights were turned off one day. I had no way to call anyone, since all the phones were disconnected.

  • We finally borrowed enough money to get the lights back on. Thanks to my mother-in-law.

  • We came home to meet the guy to turn them back on, and our van was repossessed.

  • We went to the grocery store and while in there, someone broke into our van and stole the portable dvd/tv players on the back of the seats. They stole my son's cd mp3 player. They stole the kids movies and tried to steal the stereo out of the dash. Fucking assholes.

  • Cops came and watched the surveillance tape, but it was dark and raining and they were unable to see anything. Fucking asshole thieves got away with it.

  • Our water was turned off. Thanks to the super-mother-in-law who came to our rescue, YET AGAIN, it was turned back on.

  • Then we got moving orders. We thought we were renting to own, but the dumb-asses reneged on that deal. They decided to sell the place out-right.

  • We've not been able to find anywhere to move. We don't even have the money for a security deposit. We have to be out by June 13th.

  • School is out June 4th and I am already going bat-shit just thinking about it.

So, how's your Spring going?

Mine? Well... It sucks, big time.
