My Crazy...er...Dysfunctional Life

I'm 34 yrs old and have been married to a pretty great guy named Kenny since Sept. 11, 1999. We have been inseparable since July of 1994. I can't chase him away! LOL Lucky for me! I am the stressed out mom of four crazy kids who I love with all my heart. We have a lot of ups and downs (mostly downs) and a lot of bad luck, but we have each other.

I'm such a slacker

Its been 2 weeks since I last wrote a blog entry. I procrastinate. I keep saying that I will do it later or tomorrow.

We went to a truck and tractor pull last night. It was so loud! Not a good idea to take the youngest to one of those. There were bunches of other babies there. I thought it would be ok.

After major attitude from the two oldest kids and then the hubby, it was not as much fun as I thought it would be.

We left early. As soon as we saw the monster truck crush the cars and make dust cloud donuts, we hauled ass.

The baby had gotten tired. She was squealing and not happy. I had spent about 5 freaking hours picking things up a bazillion times and grabbing her from crawling away.

My back was killing me and my ass was sore from the wooden bleachers.

I think it would have been a much better time if I had a babysitter and brought my own chair with a back to it. Oh, yeah, maybe a cooler with some rum runners in there or something might have helped.

Happy Mother's Day (2 1/2 days late)

I woke up to my eldest daughter cooking me breakfast.

The kids had let me sleep in. Then I was not allowed downstairs until breakfast was ready.

She made deep fried potatoes and an ham and cheese omelet. She had set me laptop tray up with my plate and some freshly made tea she had made.

The oldest boy had straightened up the living room and vacuumed.

The youngest boy hung out upstairs with me and the baby until we were allowed down.

The boys had each bought me flowers. The oldest bought purple carnations and the youngest pink. They put them in a vase together.

They both had made me cards. The youngest had made 2 at school. All 3 cards were so sweet!!!!

My daughter had lit a candle, too.

Plus my oldest son had baked me a yummy cake!!

that's what I woke up to.

Isn't that a lovely way to be woken up?? What a great bunch of kids!! (at least for the morning. LOL)

My hubby had to work.

He did take us out tot he new cheeseburger in paradise restaurant on Saturday. They have the best pina colada!! I LOVE IT!!

I love my family so much!

I need a life...

I really suck at blogging. I read all of my friends blogs every day. Sometimes several times a day. Fuss at the ones who don't post often. I'm a hypocrite. LOL

I guess I write about everything on the board I belong to, so why would they want to come re-read what I just wrote about over there??

I think I need a life. LOL

I work.

I mother.

I stalk for hours so I can work.

that's pretty much my day.

Oh, I watch TV.

Maybe I will find something to write about once re-run season hits in the next couple weeks.

My cousin

I talked with my aunt friday and she let me know that my cousin is doing better. She is home and still trying to get her strength back. There is a leak in one of the valves in her heart, but they are hoping it closes on it's own.

Addicted to Reality

My husband said to me yesterday "You'll watch anything that's a reality show."

He said this as I was watching the new Tori show. I had been flipping between the Paris show and the one about pageants earlier.

I realized he is right. What is wrong with me?

I am hooked. I watch all the big ones. Survivor, Big Brother, American Idol and Nashville Star. Then I watch the lesser known ones. I watch the yo mamma one , the one w/ that Cannon kid (not a kid anymore, is he? LOL) , that one where the parents pick dates for their kids cause they don't like the current mate.

I am a reality TV addict. I love it. I don't know why I watch the silly ones though. I have no excuse. No reason. I am clueless as to what the appeal is to these shows for me.

I did tell my hubby that no, " I do not watch all reality TV. I do not watch the one with the bail jumper guy or that one about car salesmen. So, there!"
